Writing this Sunday, I'm currently taking a breather from a very busy week past and mentally steeling myself for a very busy summer starting tomorrow. Drawing from the New York Times cookbook, I put together the waffle batter the night before, substituting buttermilk for regular milk. The result was tangy and the sweetness of the freshly-whipped cream and strawberries balanced out the flavors perfectly. I'm very excited to be back in berry season. Even the ants came running right along
