Backyard Salvage

I found a white bucket out in the garden, cleaned it up, and then picked some lovely blooms to fill it.  Call me repetitive but it's just such a luxury to have fresh flowers  just growing around.  (Also, one of my ten thousand potential fantasy careers would be arranging flowers).  The reason for the many, many pictures is that I've been working with my camera's settings and lighting, alors, voilà les résultats (the results).  My neighbor gave us the bunch of sweet peas - their name hardly justifies just how sweet they smell!
I leave you with some France Gall - press play for a listen and some super '60's fashion:
Attends ou va t'en!

Picking me a bouquet of dogwood flowers

Been collecting some photos of spring at its best... flowers.  There is something so pristine about the white of the petals against the greenest green.  I never saw dogwood trees until college on the East Coast but I have loved them since (1st photo).  If you look for them, you can find California dogwoods.  They grow much taller than the Eastern variety.  I love arranging flowers from the garden, such an easy way to bring beauty to your home.
